Our Wonderful November!

In the mission we focused on gratitude during the month of November. Just like in Mosiah 2:24, if we do as the Lord asks, He will immediately bless us and therefore He has paid us and we are indebted to Him forever and ever. We stood in awe as the mission soared to its highest month of baptisms in history and continue to be indebted to the Lord but then to us a blessing comes that is the icing on Grandma's birthday cake....

We left home with ten sweet grandchildren - eight granddaughters and two grandsons - Dallin and Cooper were a bit outnumbered.



Here is what has happened in 2008:

baby boy Mason - born in March (on Grandpa's birthday!)


baby boy Jeremiah - born in May


baby boy Jack - born in August


and yesterday identical twin baby boys Henry and James joined our family

We now have eight granddaughters and seven grandsons

The two hardest things are:

Not being home to help out

Getting a picture of all fifteen grandchildren (or at least of the five boys)!

Jamie's terrible no good very bad day

so.... tonight in soccer, i was playing goalie, and while a guy was on a breakaway i dove onto the ball to save it, and i guess the guy was going full speed and i got a knee to the spine. instant pain shot down my right side... so i subbed out and was in the worst shooting pain of my life from my right lower back into my right butt cheek. every time i moved it killed. so after the game jer took me to the hospital and i got an x-ray, and it was too swolen, so they gave me a CT scan and it turns out i have a "spinal fracture (right L2 transverse process fracture)... which means the little offshoots of one of my vertibrae got fractured. not super serious, just a ton of pain and no heavy lifting or twisting for a little. i should be fully healed in 6 weeks. they told me to talk to a neurologist, so i said i knew gauffin and reichman, 2 of the 3 main neurosurgeons in the valley, and they said that that was great and i should talk to them to see if i need a brace or anything. so...... jer helped a ton, he was with me from like 11pm-3am, then he took me to the pharmacy to took me to pick up some loritab.

i am really debating crawling to my 2 labs tomorrow where i have things due... im kind of freaking out about school now.
i seriously have not felt pain like this ever and i dont know how i am going to function for the next little bit...

Our Mission Blessing

Boys, boys, Boys



When Justin and Lisa's twins are born, that will make five baby boys born in 2008 - at least one per married child.

We left on our mission with eight granddaughters and two grandsons and will return home with eight granddaughters and seven grandsons!
